Tem-Cats claim 12-6A Cross Country Crown

WACO- The Temple varsity girls cross team competed in the District 12-6A Championships on Thursday morning at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco.

The Tem-Cats finished in 1st Place in the team standings with 29 points while Midway was in 2nd Place with 39 points and Killeen Shoemaker 3rd with 78 points.

The Tem-Cats showed their dominance with six runners medaling and four of them placing in the top 8 spots.

Maya Ramirez led the way taking 2nd Place while running the 3 mile course in 19:28 and Analisa Terry placing 4th in a time of 19:47.

Azaria Staples place 7th overall in a time of 20:08 and Alana Bailey right behind in 8th place (20:10).

Ilana Desales - 12th (20:39)
Sterling Griffith - 20th (22:12)
Kaurie Holleman 25th (22:35)

The Tem-Cats now advance to the Regional Meet which will be held on October 20th in Arlington with the Tem-Cats attempting to advance to the state meet.
