TERRY CLAIMS GOLD WHILE TEM-CATS TAKE TEAM RUNNER-UP

Terry claims gold while Tem-Cats take team runner-up

WACO - The Temple varsity girls cross team competed in the Midway Kiwanis Invitational on Thursday morning at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco.

Temple finished in 2nd Place in the team standings with 46 points while Cleburne was the team champion with 42 points.

Analisa Terry was the individual champion in the race while five total Tem-Cats earned medals on the day. Terry won the individual gold while running the 4850 meter race in a time of 19:31, just enough to top the second place finisher Jessyilyn Wurster of Cleburne w ran a 19:35.

Also earning medals for the Tem-Cats were:

Azaria Staples - 3rd (20:10)
Alana Bailey 11th (20:52)
Sterling Griffith - 14th (21:03)
Ilana Desales -17th (22:5621:13)

Also for the Tem-Cats were:

Samara Smith - 58th (23:59)
Patience Savage - 74th (28:32)
