HEWITT - The Tem-Cat softball team could not overcome a 6 run second inning by the Pantherettes as Midway defeated Temple by a score of 11-0 in 12-6A action on Friday night.
Midway scored one run in the first, six more in the second and four in the fourth to end the contest in five innings.
The Tem-Cat offense was limited to one hit on a Kaitlyn Teeters double in the third inning.
Teeters started for Temple in the circle and went one inning giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and walking two. Brooke Knox went the final three innings and gave up 8 runs on 7 hits.
Temple fell to 4-4 in district play and will look to rebound on Tuesday when they will host Killeen High at the Tem-Cat softball field.
