The Tem-Cat freshman volleyball team needed three sets but came away with their first district match of the season with a 25-18, 22-25, 25-18 victory over Killeen on Tuesday evening.
Emory Corley had a strong service game with 6 aces on the night along with 2 kills and 2 assist. Claire Snider had a team high 7 digs and 1 kill and 1 assist.
Also for the Tem-Cats, Madyson Combs had a team high 5 assist while Delilah Lara had 3 digs, Adrianna Ramirez 1 dig, Bryelle Lewis 4 digs, 2 assist, Lyric Skinner 3 digs, Reliana Jerome 3 digs, 1 kill, 2 aces and Cykhiah White 1 kill, 1 block.
Temple is now 14-7 on the season and (1-3) in district play will travel to Killeen on Friday to take on Shoemaker beginning at 5:00 pm.
