The Tem-Cat freshman volleyball team dropped a had fought 3 set match with Harker Heights on Friday evening by a score of 25-15, 18-25, 25-19.

The Tem-Cats were plagued by a slow start to the match fall down 10 -0 in the first set, the Tem-Cats did rally within 6 points but could not overcome the early hole. They did use their momentum gained and took the second set but the Lady Knights were able to fight off the Tem-Cats in the third and deciding match.

Madyson Combs had a solid night while directing the offense as she dished out a team high 11 assist while also recording 4 digs.

Also for the Tem-Cats, Bryelle Lewis had a team high 5 kills along with 4 digs, block while Lyric Skinner had 4 kills, 3 digs; Claire Snider a team high 8 digs, 1 kill; Emory Corley 3 digs, 2 kills, 2 aces; Delilah Lara 3 digs and Reliana Jerome with 2 digs, kill, ace, assist.

Temple is now 13-7 on the season and (0-3) in district play will host Killeen on Tuesday with the match beginning at 5:00 pm.
