The Tem-Cat freshman volleyball team went 21- on Day 1 of the Belton ISD Sub Varsity Tournament.

Temple opened the day with a 25-19, 25-12 loss to Lake Belton. Isabella Alcoser led the way 11 assist, 2 kills and an ace while Madyson Combs had 8 assist. Cykhiah White and Reliana Jones each contributed 2 kills while Delilah Lara had 4 digs and with 3 digs apiece were Lyric Skinner and Claire Snider.

Temple then rebounded to beat the Waco B team by a score of 25-5, 25-2. Brylle Lewis had 4 kills while Madyson Combs had 2 kills, 2 assist, 4 aces and Isabella Alcoser had 6 assist and 2 aces.

The Tem-Cats then closed out the day with a 25-16, 25-20 win over Marble Falls. Isabella Alcoser dished out 15 assist while also recording 3 kills, 2 digs. Madyson Combs had 7 assist, 4 kills; Delilah Lara 4 digs, Lyric Skinner 3 digs and Emory Corley with 3 kills.

Temple improves to 10-3 on the season and will return to action on Saturday with matchup with Salado at Lake Belton High School. Start time is set for 9:00 am.
