The Tem-Cat freshman volleyball team swept all three opponents on Saturday to close out the Copperas Cove Tournament with a record of 5-1. Following an opening round loss to Lake Belton, the Tem-Cats rolled off five consecutive victories.
On Friday, Temple open play with a 25-11, 25-15 loss to Lake Belton. Cykhiah White had 5 blocks while Madyson Combs, Emory Corley and Bryelle Lewis each had 2 kills. Isabella Alcoser had a team high 5 assist.
Temple bounced back to defeat the Belton B team by a score of 25-10, 25-23 with Isabella Alcoser and Madyson Combs each recording 4 assist. Alcoser also posted 3 aces and 3 kills.
In their final match on Thursday, Temple defeated Legacy Ranch by a score of 25-14, 25-15. Madyson Combs with 7 assist and 3 kills while Isabella Alcoser had 7 assist and 2 kills.
On Saturday, the Tem-Cats opened with a 25-9, 25-21 victory over Copperas Cove. Isabella Alcoser had 9 assist, 2 digs, 2 aces; Madyson Combs 8 assist, 2 kills; Bryelle Lewis 6 kills 2 aces and Deliah Lara with 2 digs and 2 aces.
The middle game saw Temple defeat Killeen Shoemaker 27-25, 25-14. Cykhiah White with 5 kills, 3 blocks; Isabella Alcoser 6 assist, dig, ace; Madyson Combs 7 assist and Emory Corley with 4 aces, 2kills.
In their final match, the Tem-Cats defeated Killeen Chaparral 25-20, 25-14. Isabella Alcoser with 7 assist, 2 aces; Madyson Combs 7 assist.
Temple returns to action on Tuesday with a road match at Waco University beginning at 5:30 pm.
