TEM-CATS OPEN LEGENDS INVITATIONAL WITH 3-0 RECORD

Tem-Cats open Legends Invitational with 3-0 record

BRYAN - The Tem-Cat Volleyball team had an impressive opening day of the Legends Invitational in Bryan. Temple went a perfect 3-0 on the day and improved their season record to 12-11 overall.

In Game 1, Temple defeated Caney Creek by a score of 25-22, 25-18. Kendall Tate had a solid match with 7 assist, 3 kills, 2 aces, 6 digs and 2 blocks while Dawn Smith had 5 kills; Kylie Rayas 6 digs, 2 assist, ace; Taylor Regula 2 digs, kill; Kylie Dixon 3 digs, 2 kills, 2 aces and Madison Sapp with 3 digs.
Game 2 saw Temple defeat Port Neches Groves 25-20, 26-24. Kendall Tate recorded 16 assist, 3 digs, 2 kills; Arianna Mascari 5 digs; Taylor Regula 2 aces, 2 kills, 2 blocks; Kylie Rayas 8 digs, kill; Dejah Thomas 5 kills, 3 blocks, 2 aces; Kylie Dixon 4 aces, 2 digs; Dawn Smith 5 kills, 2 digs, 2 blocks and Willow Pratt with 2 blocks.

In their final match of the day, Temple defeated Madisonville 25-23, 25-21. Kendall Tate had another big game with 19 assist, 5 digs, 4 blocks, 2 kills, 2 aces; Arianna Mascari 9 digs, 2 aces; Keagan Bankston 2 digs; Taylor Regula 6 kills; Dejah Thomas 2 kills; Kylie Dixon 5 kills, 2 digs; Jaidyn Henry 2 kills; and Dawn Smith with 5 kills and 4 digs.

Temple returns to action again on Friday with three more matches at the Legends Event Center. Temple will face Montgomery (11:00am), Killeen Shoemaker (1:00 pm) and Oak Ridge (3:00 pm).
