Home has been a place of comfort for Temple’s volleyball team through the first month of the season. The Tem-Cats whipped up a little more magic there Tuesday, and they hope it can springboard them to more winning ways as district play closes in.
Kendall Tate’s nine kills led a balanced Temple attack that saw nine players drop in at least one as the Tem-Cats tidily took care of Waco University with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-14 sweep in a non-district match at Wildcat Gym.
Emory Corley followed with six kills, including the game-winner when the sophomore showed deft touch at the net by tapping one gently along the left line off Tate’s assist to finish off the Lady Trojans. Tate finished with 10 assists.
