Delivering the traditional “A Senior Speaks” address, Colbert discussed the impact his coaches and teammates made on him and expressed pride in helping Temple go 7-4 and return to the Class 6A playoffs after a difficult 1-9 season in 2023.
“My four years here, these coaches have made a big impact on me. And all the people I’ve played with before, they’re like family to me,” said Colbert, whose twin brother, Dederick, also was a standout senior linebacker. “Coach (Chris) Pilot was an inspiration and he changed my life. And Coach (Scott) Stewart was a big impact and another father figure for me.
