COLLEGE STATION - The Tem-Cat soccer team had a good showing at this weekends College Station Tournament as they went 2-0-1 over three days.
Temple opened play on Thursday with a 2-2 draw with Kempner. Goals for the Tem-Cats came from Avery Perez and Maya Ramirez. Defensively, Arianna Riegle had a superb game in organizing the defense.
Game 2 saw the Tem-Cats defeat the A&M Consolidated JV team 2-1. Goals for the Tem-Cats from Avery Perez and Sterling Griffith.
On Saturday, Temple defeated Crowley by a score of 1-0. Goal by Lenora Wright with an assist from Isa Diaz. Avery Perez and Sterling Griffith also had a strong offensive performance. Defensively, Yaritza Rodriguez and Bella Mitchan were key components to shutting down the Crowley offense.
