CEDAR HILL - The Tem-Cat soccer team opened the 2024-25 season on Monday evening with a 1-0 victory over Cedar Hill on the road.

After a scoreless first half, the Tem-Cats took the lead in the 64th minute as Maya Ramirez pass split a pair of lady Longhorn defenders and found Alyssa Mireles who fired a shot into goal past the outstretched arms of the Cedar Hill goal tender.

The shutout was credited to Arianna Reigel in goal for Temple with an outstanding performance in holding back the opponents from Bella Mitchan, Yaritza Rodriguez and Valerie Velasquez.

Lenora Wright and Avery Perez did an excellent job in distributing the ball for the entire match.

Temple (1-0) returns to action on Thursday when the will face Kempner at 12:00 PM at College Station High School. Temple will play three games in three days during the College Station Tournament.
