The Temple Wildcat Junior Varsity basketball team hosted St. Josephs from New South Wales Australia at Wildcat Gym on Tuesday evening.

The Joey's scored a 3-pointer in the finals seconds of regulation to send the game into overtime but the Wildcats hit 5 of 8 free throws in the extra period to defeat the Joey's 39-34 in the international matchup.

The Wildcats were led by Brendan Watters with 10 points while while Jeremiah Blunson had 7 points with a pair of 3-pointers.

Also for temple, Thomas Stewart Rains and Terrell House had 5 points, Jayden Watkins, Devonte McClennon and Sam Smith with 4 points.

Temple will return to action on Thursday when they will play in the Midway Tournament at Hewitt.
