SAN ANTONIO — One week after Temple was dominated at home in the second half of a 42-21 loss to Round Rock, the Wildcats found themselves in an early 7-0 hole against San Antonio Reagan on Friday night at Heroes Stadium.
But instead of panicking or falling into a “here we go again” funk, resilient Temple came up with exactly the kind of response, effort and spirit that head coach Scott Stewart wanted to see.
Christian Tutson made a 67-yard, go-ahead touchdown reception from Champ Mayo with 6 minutes remaining, then Temple’s resurgent defense stuffed Reagan’s final two possessions to lift the Wildcats to a 19-14 victory over the Rattlers.
