WACO– The Temple varsity boys cross country team won their first team title of the season as they took 1st Place in the Hewitt Midway Kiwanis Invitational held at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco.
The Wildcats took 1st Place in the teams standings with 37 points while Killeen Ellison was a close second with 44.
Temple was led by a trio of top 10 runners that included Xavier Tools who placed 3rd overall as he completed the 3-mile course in a time of 15:56 while La'Ron Alexander was in 8th Place (16:27) and Dominick Montalbo in 9th Place (16:39).

Temple returns to competition on September 12 as they will run in the Salado Invitational at Tenroc Park.
