After Temple recorded 7-4 playoff seasons in 2024 and 2025, the Wildcats certainly didn’t envision being 1-5 overall and 0-2 in District 12-6A this year. And they surely don’t like their current situation.
However, “motivator” and “optimist” are two labels that aptly describe Chad President, the 29-year-old former Temple star quarterback who was the Wildcats’ offensive coordinator in 2024 and now is their second-year head coach.
Although last Friday’s 33-13 loss at nemesis Hewitt Midway was Temple’s third consecutive defeat this season and fourth straight setback against a Panthers program that’s now 10-1 against Temple, President didn’t see a dejected Wildcats team walk off the rain-soaked field at Panther Stadium.
