TEMPLE, TX — September 29, 2026
The Temple High Swim team hosted Copperas Cove and Pflugerville Hendrickson for an
action-packed tri-meet at the Hardin Swim Center at Temple High School on Tuesday evening.

The Wildcats turned in several standout performances in front of their home crowd, led by
Arthur J. Reichert, who captured twin victories in the distance events by winning both the
Boys 200-yard Freestyle and the Boys 500-yard Freestyle.

On the girls side, Elizabeth R.
Flowers paced Temple with a 2nd-place finish in the 500 Freestyle and a 3rd-place
performance in the 200 Freestyle. Freshman Abhi Prakash also delivered a strong night for the
boys, securing 2nd place in the 200 Individual Medley along with 3rd-place finishes in both the
100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle.

Top Performances from Visiting Teams

*Pflugerville Hendrickson: Paced the overall field with dominant individual efforts. Jeter
Grundy swept 1st place in the Boys 50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, and 100 Backstroke. Paige
Hagen earned 1st place in the Girls 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, and 100 Backstroke, while
Elizabeth Schulze claimed top honors in both the Girls 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle.
Joshua Roberts brought home 1st in the Boys 100 Freestyle and 2nd in the 50 Freestyle.

*Copperas Cove: Gabriel Sanchez earned 2nd place in the Boys 100 Freestyle, while
Quincy Griffin added a 3rd-place finish in the Boys 100 Breaststroke. Lily Steele recorded
a pair of 4th-place finishes in the Girls 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle, and Cove & boys
earned 3rd-place relay finishes in the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free
Relay.
