COLLEGE STATION — The Temple High junior varsity boys cross country team ran a hard-fought race on Saturday morning, competing against a deep field of runners at the Coach Giese Meet in College Station.

Temple secured 6th place in the team standings, finishing with 141 points. Leading the way for the Wildcats was Cameran Richburg, who crossed the finish line in a stellar 13th place with a time of 12:37.60. Raymond Velasquez also earned a top-20 finish, running a strong 12:52.50 to take 19th place.
Rounding out the scoring runners for Temple were Weston Ricks in 43rd place with a time of 13:32.00, Hunter Filip Frank in 61st place with a time of 14:12.70, and Anthony Ramos in 64th place finishing at 14:20.60.

Christopher Glass and Judah Watson also ran competitive races for the Wildcats, placing 83rd (15:27.40) and 84th (15:29.70) respectively. Temple's lineup was completed by Louis Zapata in 86th (15:42.40), Ricardo Soto-Juarez in 94th (16:48.60), and Ja'Varion Harris in 96th (17:31.60) .

Meet Overview and Top Performers

Katy Seven Lakes dominated the junior varsity division, capturing the team championship with an impressive low score of 17 points. Katy Seven Lakes swept the top three individual positions, led by Owen Manning, who captured the individual crown with a swift time of 11:24.90 2. Jack Chambers finished as the runner-up in 11:31.80 2, and Tristan Lindley claimed third in 11:41.20 .

Wilson Shaw of College Station A&M Consolidated took fourth overall with a time of 11:51.10 2. He was followed closely by Seven Lakes' Tyler Janak in fifth place at 11:51.30.
