After waiting nearly 24 hours for its penultimate District 12-6A matchup against second-place Harker Heights because of inclement weather, the Wildcats used a sixth-inning surge to rally past the Knights to post an important 6-3 victory at Bulldog Field.
Temple (8-19-2, 6-5) led Copperas Cove by a-half game for fourth place entering the match. The Wildcats now can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Killeen Shoemaker in Friday’s regular-season finale.
