Wildcats Battle at High-Stakes District 11/12 Area Meet

HEWITT – The Temple Wildcat Track & Field team traveled to Panther Stadium on Thursday to face off against the best of Districts 11 and 12 in the Area Meet. With a trip to the Regional Meet on the line for the top four finishers in each event, the atmosphere was electric and the competition fierce.

The Wildcats finished the day in 11th place in the overall team standings with 12 points. Waxahachie claimed the team title with a dominant 139 points, while Killeen Shoemaker secured the runner-up spot with 93.

Regional Qualifier & Medalist Spotlight

The highlight of the day for Temple came from Xavier Tools, who delivered a stellar performance in the 800 meters. Tools showcased both speed and tactical discipline, surging to a Silver Medal finish. By securing 2nd place, Tools has officially punched his ticket to the Regional Meet, which will be held back at Panther Stadium in Hewitt on May 1-2.

Onward to Regionals: The Final Four

The "Road to State" continues for the elite few who placed in the top four of their respective events. These athletes will return to Panther Stadium in Hewitt on May 1-2 to compete in the Regional Meet.
