Midway cranks out 17 hits in 18-6 win over Tem-Cats

The first time Temple lost to Hewitt Midway this season, the Tem-Cats ran off three straight victories in the immediate aftermath.

Temple hopes for a similar response after suffering another setback to the district-leading Pantherettes Thursday night at Tem-Cat Field.

Peyton Phillip doubled twice and had four RBIs at the plate and struck out four while yielding three hits in the circle to pace Midway to an 18-6 mercy-rule triumph over the Tem-Cats during which the Pantherettes scored multiple runs in each inning but one.
