DALLAS – The Temple Wildcat varsity track and field team traveled north this past Saturday to compete in one of the state's most formidable arenas: the Dallas Jesuit-Sheaner Relays. Hosted at Jesuit High School, the meet lived up to its reputation as a "clash of titans," featuring a massive field of 126 teams and thousands of elite athletes primarily from the DFW metroplex and Houston area.

In a meet where every inch and millisecond is contested by the best in Texas, the Wildcats proved they could hold their own on the big stage, posting several competitive times and distances across the board.

Top Performers and Highlights

The highlight of the day for Temple came from the 4x200 relay team. The squad, consisting of Cameran Richburg, Qui’Marion Dobbins, Ramauhn Brown, and Khamani Sanders, scorched the track to earn a 9th place finish out of a deep field. Their time of 1:28.51 signaled that the Wildcats possess the speed and chemistry to compete with the top sprinting programs in the state.

The 4000m Distance Medley Relay also put up a strong showing, finishing 11th with a time of 11:46.26. The quartet of Joe Vargas, Xavier Wilson, Aidan Gibbons, and Dominick Montalbo demonstrated great endurance and tactical racing against stiff competition.

In the individual sprints, Cameran Richburg led the way with a solid 21st place finish in the 200 meters, clocking in at 22.42. On the field side, Javier Agard notched the highest individual field finish for the team, taking 24th in the Discus with a toss of 127’10.
