KILLEEN, TX — The Temple Tem-Cat varsity girls track and field team delivered a powerhouse performance this past Thursday at the Killeen ISD Relays, securing a 2nd Place finish in a highly competitive field. Competing at Leo Buckley Stadium, the Tem-Cats amassed 154 points, finishing just behind champion San Antonio Reagan (194) and ahead of third-place Killeen Chaparral (125).
The meet was highlighted by individual brilliance and relay dominance. Azaria Staples and Maliah Neal both captured individual gold on the track, while Audrey Troup proved her speed with a 1st Place finish in the 200 meters. The Tem-Cat field events were equally impressive, led by Aniya Brumet, who soared to a 1st Place finish in the Triple Jump.
The evening concluded on a high note as the 4x400 Relay team (Maliah Neal, Maciah Morgan, Azaria Staples, and Aniya Brumet) blazed past the competition to take the gold with a time of 4:00.32.
