Temple Athletic Training Students Place 6th at the 8th Annual Student Athletic Trainer Olympics
Temple Athletic Training Students (ATS) competed in the 8th Annual Student Athletic Trainer Olympics at Georgetown High School on Wednesday, March 4th, finishing 6th place out of 32 teams. Let’s go! We are so proud of their effort and dedication.
Temple ATS competed in several events throughout the evening, including:
8th Place – 3 Legged Race - Viana Nguyen, Nestor Ramos Gonzalez, Kiana Proctor, Kgololosego Motswenyane
15th Place – 10 Gallon Cooler Carry - Audrey Ezechukwu-Chukwuma, Kaytlynn Marek, Kgololosego Motswenyane, Nestor Ramos Gonzalez
7th Place – Foam Roller Relay - Kiana Proctor, Kaniyah Melton, Alyssa Riggan, Viana Nguyen
3rd Place – Tape Roll Toss - Ty’Jai Bryant
15th Place - Ankle Taping - Kaliya Shamlin
Shot put Throw - Kaytlynn Marek
Blaze Pod - Infiniti Leon
Face the Cookie - Alyssa Riggan
4th Place – Final Relay - Izabella Johnson, Adrianna Lopez, Annabell Lara, Alyssa Riggan, Audrey Ezechukwu-Chukwuma, Kaytlynn Marek, Kgololosego Motswenyane, Nestor Ramos Gonzalez
TSATA All State Academic - Brooke Alexander, John Averill, Ashley Huete, Kgosigadi Motswenyane
This year’s competition was one of the biggest yet, with 34 schools and more than 500 student athletic trainers participating. The event featured nine exciting competitions, all leading up to a high-energy final relay race.
The Student Athletic Trainer Olympics is a fun and festive way to celebrate the dedication, hard work, and commitment these students show throughout the entire school year. Temple ATS prepared for the event while continuing to cover their teams’ practices and games, showing the same work ethic and teamwork they bring every day.
Congratulations to our Temple ATS on a successful Olympics! They are already looking forward to next year and coming back even stronger.
