KILLEEN, TX – The Temple Tem-Cats didn't just show up for their road match against the Killeen Lady Roos; they took over. Behind an offensive explosion and a defensive masterclass, Temple cruised to a commanding 8-0 victory, asserting their dominance from the opening whistle.

A First-Half Blitz

The match was effectively decided in the first 40 minutes. Temple’s attack was relentless, building a massive 6-0 lead before the halftime break. The story of the half was the clinical finishing of Avery Perez and Alaina Flores.

Both players were in perfect sync with the midfield, each netting a hat trick before the intermission. Their ability to find space in the Killeen backline left the Lady Roos struggling for answers as the goals piled up in quick succession.

Perez Pads the Lead

While the second half saw a more controlled pace, the Tem-Cats weren't finished. Avery Perez continued her career night, finding the back of the net two more times in the final frame. Her five-goal performance served as the exclamation point on a night where the Temple offense seemed untouchable.

Teamwork and Distribution

The lopsided scoreline was a testament to Temple's unselfish play. The Tem-Cats recorded a wealth of assists, showcasing a "total team" approach to the win:

Avery Perez: 2 assists
Isa Diaz: 1 assist
Bella Mitchan: 1 assist
Yaqueline Martinez: 1 assist
Maya Ramirez: 1 assist
Sterling Griffith: 1 assist

Player of the Match: Kenyah Walker

While the strikers grabbed the headlines, the coaching staff named Kenyah Walker the Player of the Match. Walker was the engine of the team, delivering a "stellar" performance that bridged the gap between the offensive and defensive units. Her ability to break up Killeen’s counter-attacks while simultaneously jumpstarting Temple's transitions earned her the night's top honors.

What’s Next?

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Local fans are encouraged to come out and support the team as they look to defend their home turf.
