HEWITT, TX – The Temple Wildcat Junior Varsity Blue soccer team traveled to Hewitt on Friday evening for a high-stakes district showdown against the Midway Panthers. In a match characterized by physical play and shifting momentum, the Wildcats ultimately fell just short, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Panthers.

Despite the loss, Temple showed flashes of offensive brilliance, keeping the Midway defense on its heels for much of the night.

Scoring Summary

The Wildcats' attack was spearheaded by clinical finishing and unselfish playmaking.

Goal 1: Giovanni Nava-Cisneros opened the scoring for Temple, finding the back of the net after a perfectly timed assist from Andrew Diaz.

Goal 2: Andre Martinez Maldonado added to the tally, capitalizing on a crisp setup from Cesar Perez to keep the Wildcats within striking distance.
