HEWITT - In a high-energy clash on Friday evening, the Temple Wildcat Junior Varsity White soccer team traveled to Hewitt to face off against Midway. In a match defined by opportunistic offense and defensive resilience, the Wildcats walked away with a hard-earned 2-2 draw.

The story of the night was the direct and devastating connection between the backline and the attack. Both of Temple’s goals came from an unlikely but effective duo: goalkeeper Gabriel Aviles and forward Rafael Rodriguez.

The Route One Connection

Twice during the match, Aviles launched booming punts that cleared the Midway midfield and put the opposing backline under immediate pressure. On both occasions, Rodriguez showcased elite positioning and hustle, winning the ball in front of the Midway keeper and converting the opportunities into goals.

With this result, Temple moves their district record to 3-3-2. The Wildcats showed plenty of heart playing on the road, and they’ll look to turn that momentum into a win when they return to their home pitch.
