COPPERAS COVE, TX – In a physical Friday night showdown on the road, the Temple Wildcat Junior Varsity Blue soccer team showcased their resilience, battling to a 1-1 draw against Copperas Cove.
The match was a defensive tug-of-war for much of the evening, with both squads struggling to find clean looks at the net in a high-intensity atmosphere. However, Temple found the spark they needed through a perfectly executed set piece.
Clinical Set Piece Delivers Goal
The Wildcats' scoring strike was a masterclass in teamwork and timing. Following a Copperas Cove foul, Aryan Guleria stepped up for a free kick, delivering a pinpoint service into the heart of the box. Giovanni Nava-Cisneros rose above the defenders, connecting with a powerful header that found the back of the net to give Temple the momentum.
Despite the Wildcats' pressure throughout the half, Copperas Cove managed to find an equalizer, resulting in a shared point for the district rivals.

With this result, the Wildcats move their district record to 2-1-2. While a road draw is a testament to the team’s toughness, Temple will be eager to get back into the win column when they return to their home pitch.
