AUSTIN - The Temple Tem-Cat varsity soccer team kicked off the 2025-26 season with their first scrimmage on the road Friday and had a successful start with a 2-0 victory over Austin Crockett at the Burger Athletic Center.
The Tem-Cats first goal of the match came with 8:28 remaining in the first half a s Maya Ramirez buried her shot from the outside of the 18 yard box with an assist from Isa Diaz.
With 7:55 left in the second half, Alaina Flores fired a shot on goal that deflected off Yaqueline Martinez to extend the Tem-Cat lead to 2-0.
The Tem-Cats earned a shutout with Skylar Licudine getting the first half shutout and Arieanna Reigal with a clean sheet in the second half.
Temple will be back in action on Tuesday when they will hose Waco High at the Temple Soccer Complex beginning at 7:00 pm.
