AUSTIN - The Temple Tem-Cat Junior varsity basketball team went 1-1 on Thursday at the Austin McCallum Basketball Tournament. Temple defeated Pflugerville Connally 41-4 in their opening game but fell to Lampasas 16-14 in their second game.

In their opener over Connally 41-4, the Tem-Cats had eleven players in the scoring column with Jazale Mose leading the way with 6 points and a trio of players with 5 points, Azul Ceja, Elysia Cortez and Meghan Jackson.

Also for Temple, Ava Anderson, Aniyah Wilson and Kimorah Filmore each with 4 points and with 2 points each were Emmy Flores, Jade Donoso, Cykhiah White and Alaina Lopez.

Game 2 saw Temple fall to Lampasas 16-14. The Tem-Cats were led by Elysia Cortez with 6 points while Jazale Mose, Cykhiah White, Kimorah Fillmore and Alaina Lopez each had 2 points.

Temple will return to tournament play on Saturday.
