Still smarting from back-to-back losses to begin District 12-6A play, Temple was extremely hungry to break into the win column against winless Killeen.

The Wildcats didn’t put away the Kangaroos as quickly as they wanted to, but a 22-point explosion in the fourth quarter was sufficient to secure a must-have victory.

Cavalli Nealy, Preston Thomas and Byron Crittendon each scored two touchdowns, and Temple’s stingy defense limited traditional rival Killeen to 186 total yards as the Wildcats pulled away for a penalty-choked 42-14 win on homecoming Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.
