In a game that had the feeling that the team with the final possession likely would win, Foreman and Shoemaker finally broke through against nemesis Temple.
The Wildcats created a 28-28 deadlock on Cavalli Nealy’s 2-yard touchdown run with 3:49 remaining, but the Grey Wolves responded by getting a crucial 25-yard pass from Reshard Hicks Jr. to Jihad McCoy before Joushua Narvaez Torres kicked a 28-yard field goal as time expired to lift Shoemaker to a dramatic 31-28 victory over Temple at Wildcat Stadium.
“It was two great teams and it came down to the end. Shoemaker had the ball last and made more plays. Every time they went up we responded, and I’m proud of that.
