The Wildcat Football JV Blue team played their first home game of the season on Thursday but fell to Round Rock by a score of 35-20.
Offensively for the Wildcats, quarterback Paul Lindsey threw for 210 yards and 2 touchdowns with Iz’Zoroyn Soto being his top target with 5 receptions for 70 yards and one touchdown.
Also for the Wildcats, Mehkai Armstrong had 1 receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown; Bryson Thomas , 2 receptions for 55 yards and Landon Walker- 4 receptions for 45 yards .
Travarus Williams led the Wildcats on the ground with 15 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Dra’Shawn Smith had9 tackles and one pass breakup, De'andre Green- 6 tackles 2 pass breakups; Jeremy Parks - 7 tackles 2 quarterback pressures and Elijah Parada with 6 total tackles and 2 tackles for losses.
The defense was able to produce multiple 4th downs stops and allowed one touchdown in the second half.
Temple will be back in action on September 11 when they will travel to San Antonio to take on SA Reagan beginning at 4:30 pm.
