The Wildcats employed a familiar never-give-up formula against visiting Killeen Shoemaker in their win-or-go-home regular-season finale, and the result equaled a second straight playoff berth thanks to a rousing 5-4 walk-off win in the eighth inning that treated the hometown fans who stayed deep into the night to a dramatic conclusion.

Cisco Gonzalez filled the count before drawing a game-ending, bases-loaded walk off Grey Wolves reliever Joe Phillip Guzman to bring home Jaden Fuentes for the winning run.
