Harker Heights turned away Temple behind Cooper Reaves’ three-hit complete game Friday then used a combined three-hitter from Seth Martin and Gian Martinez to dispose of the ’Cats 9-1 on Tuesday to finish off a sweep in their two-game league series.
The Wildcats (7-18-1, 4-7 District 12-6A), who never led in the two-game set and suffered their fourth straight loss, entered the series finale against the Knights (20-6-1, 9-2) hanging onto the league’s fourth-place spot by a half-game over Killeen Shoemaker — which had a bye Tuesday — and Bryan, which faced Killeen to close out its regular-season slate.
