Only one playoff spot remains in the District 12-6A baseball race, and Temple has the inside track. The Wildcats entered Thursday’s home tilt against Harker Heights in fourth place, needing just one win in its last three games to seal the league’s final bid.

Temple will have to wait until at least Tuesday to secure its second postseason appearance in as many years, however, after the visiting Knights got the better of it at Hallford Field.
