Temple trailed Bryan until the sixth inning of its home tilt last Friday before unleashing a dramatic comeback win. The Wildcats sought similar magic a week later against Copperas Cove but were turned away in extra innings in a tightly-contested District 12-6A contest that lasted well past 3 hours at Hallford Field.

After Temple tied things at 2-all in the sixth, the visiting Bulldawgs outlasted the home team by posting a single run after loading the bases with no outs in the top of the 10th to hang on for a hard-fought 3-2 victory in a matchup that featured two teams tied for third in the league standings entering the affair.
