GATESVILLE - The Wildcat baseball team produced a seven run sixth inning which secured a 13-4 victory on the road at Gatesville and extend there win streak to two games.

Temple jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the second from an RBI single from Reece Medrano and a RBI double from Anthony Ramos. In the third, Jaden Fuentes would extend the lead to 3-0 with an RBI double.

The Hornets cut the Wildcats lead to 3-2 in the fifth before the seven run sixth gave the Wildcats some breathing room.

Key RBI hits in the sixth for the Wildcats included RBI singles from Reece Medrano and Jaden Fuentes.

Temple picked up 12 hits on the day with Isaac Lara going 3-3 with 2 doubles and 3 runs scored while Jaden Fuentes was 2-4 , 3 RBI, double run scored.

Also for Temple, Champ Mayo 2-3, RBI, 2 runs scored; Reece Medrano 2-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored; Anthony Ramos 1-3, double RBI; Cavalli Nealy 1-4 and Cisco Gonzales 1-4, 2 RBI, run scored.

Jaden Fuentes earned the win on the mound with 5 innings pitches giving up zero earned tuns on 6 hits while striking out two. Isaac Lara picked up a save going 2.0 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits.

Temple (1-0, 3-11-1) returns to action next Friday when they will host Midway beginning at 7:00 pm.
