Temple scored three times in the top of the seventh inning on Tuesday to take its first lead of the night, then held on to edge Shoemaker 7-6 in the teams’ 12-6A opener at Shoemaker.
The win snapped an 11-game winless streak for the Wildcats, who hadn’t tasted victory since their season opener on Feb. 17 against Lockhart. They tied Leander a week later before losing nine straight heading into the league opener.
