HARKER HEIGHTS - The Temple Wildcat baseball team closed out play in the Killeen Tournament on Saturday with a pair of losses. Temple fell to Lorena 5-0 in their opener and Leander Glenn 7-2 in the final game.
In their 5-0 loss to Lorena, Jacob Perez took the loss on the mound going 4 2/3 innings giving up just one earned run on 5 hits but walked 6 batters.
The Offense was only able to muster 3 hits with Cisco Gonzales going 2-3 and Jaden Fuentes going 1-3 t the plate.
In Game 2, Temple fell to Leander Glenn 7-2. Once again the offense was limited to 2 hits with Cisco Gonzales going 1-2, 2 walks and Adrian Scott going 1-2 with a run scored.
Cisco Gonzales took the loss on the mound going 5 innings and giving up 6 runs on 8 hits while striking out 4 batters.
Temple (1-6-1) returns to action on Thursday when they will face College Station and Jersey Village.
