KILLEEN - The Temple Wildcat baseball team dropped a pair of games on the opening day of the Killeen Tournament. Temple fell to Academy by a score of 7-0 in their opener and later fell to Pflugerville Weiss by a score of 8-2.
In their 7-0 opening game loss to Academy, the Wildcats were limited to three hits while Isaac Lara took the loss on the mound going 5.0 innings giving up 3 earned runs on seven hits and striking out two.
In Game 2, Temple fell to Weiss 8-2 collecting 8 hits on the afternoon. Adrian Scott led the way going 3-3 with a triple and 2 RBI. Xavier Tools started on the mound and went 4.0 innings and gave up 5 runs on 6 hits while striking out one.
Temple (1-3-1) will return to action on Friday when they will face Leander at Killeen Chaparral High School beginning at 5:00 pm.
