The Tem-Cat varsity soccer team broke a scoreless tie at halftime with a pair of second half goals as they defeated the visiting Killeen Shoemaker Lady Greywolves 2-0 in a District 12-6A soccer match.
After dominating the first 40 minutes of play, Patience savage broke the scoreless tie with a goal just two minutes in the second half.
Temple threatened to extend the lead throughout much of the second half, but it was Lenora Wright who finally delivered a free kick from 25 yards out to extend the Tem-Cat lead with 9 minutes remaining to play.
Arianna Reigle was in goal for the Tem-Cats and recorded the shutout with a strong effort throughout the night from the Tem-Cat defenders and midfielders.
Temple returns to action on February 18th with a break from district play as they will host Salado at the Temple Soccer Complex beginning at 7:15 pm.
