Gilberto Hernandez serves as the Defensive Line Coach for Temple High School Football and works as a Special Education Inclusion teacher. A Temple native and graduate of Temple High School, Coach Hernandez continued his education at Tarleton State University, where he earned a Master of Education degree. Entering his fourth year in education and coaching, all with Temple ISD, he is dedicated to helping students and student-athletes grow academically, athletically, and personally. Coach Hernandez and his wife, Natalia Sisneros Hernandez, have been married for one year. He believes that “Pressure reveals character. Adversity builds it,” a philosophy that shapes his approach to coaching, teaching, and developing young people into resilient leaders.
