Jeremy Engelke
Jeremy Engelke serves as the Head Wrestling Coach at Temple
High School and teaches AP Government and AP Macroeconomics. A Temple native
and graduate of Temple High School, Coach Engelke continued his education at
the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Texas Tech University, and Baylor
University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science and a
Master of Education in Sport Management. With 28 years of experience in
education and coaching, including three years in Temple ISD, he brings a wealth
of knowledge and leadership to the Wildcat wrestling program. Coach Engelke and
his wife, Katheryn, have been married for three years and are proud parents of
six children: Jackson, Tatum, Mallory, Bryant, Mack, and Maverick. He believes
strongly in the principle, “You don't get what you wish for...you get what you
work for,” emphasizing the value of hard work, discipline, and perseverance in
achieving success.
