Windee Skrabanek
Windee is from Rogers Texas, she attended McPherson Kansas where she played Volleyball and Softball at Central College and received her Associate in Arts in 1998. She started working at Bastrop High School in Jan. 2001, after spending 3 years there she moved to Temple in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science in 2001 and received her Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University in 2013. Windee teaches Sports Medicine II & III classes, as well as heading up our Athletic Training Student Program.
Windee Skrabanek was recognized for her life saving actions in March of 2016, receiving the prestigious Excellence in Athletic Training Award from the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association (SWATA). She was one of only three trainers to receive the 2017 award, presented at the SWATA Honors & Awards Ceremony held in San Marcos. Windee has served on the CTATS (Central Texas Athletic Trainers Society) as a Treasurer in 2008-2010 and is currently serving as the Temple/ Killeen/Belton representative. She served on the SWATA PR committee from 2016-2018 helping promote the athletic training profession and working with amazing AT’s.
Windee is married to Gary Skrabanek, an electrician with Amos Electric. They are the proud parents of 15 year old son Kyler James who attends Temple HS. Windee enjoys working athletic events, being outside, Kayaking and spending time with her family & friends.
